foto1My name is Erika Molnár. This story started after the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 or much earlier in 1987, but possibly even before that.
I have always liked doing sports. Sport has taught me a lot of things. How to solve problems, how to deal with people as well as some of the most important things in life:

  • health and happiness,,
  • love and respect,
  • trust,
  • diligence and persistence,
  • concentration
  • professionalism and fair play.

The greatest miracle of life ended my sport carrier, in 2005. I became a mother.

In 2008 as a graduated coach and a practising parent I had the opportunity to become a baby swimming instructor which enabled me to remain in symbiosis with water that has always been such a vital part of my life. During this period the University of Phisical Education and the Babyswimming – Insructors’ First National Association started the first specialized trainings. It was not a question, whether I should be among the first graduated specialists in Hungary.
Furtheremore, working for the Swimming Penguin Kindergarten (Úszó Pingvin Óvoda, Budapest) I could both witness and assist my son in the process of learning how to swim and now I’m doing the same with my daughter.
After my daughter Zita started to go to kindergarten I could get back to work more intensively. I’m helping other babies, toddlers and children to enjoy, move safely and naturally in the water and eventually to learn to swim.
Currently, I’m working at S.P.K. as a co-executive director as well as dedicating part of my time to my passion, being a baby swimming and swimming instructor.
I have lived for about 30 years next to the swimming pool. During this period I have collected much experience from being together with a lot of smart kids, brilliant specialists, friends and collagues. I’m absolutely sure that, only those don’t like the water who don’t know it well! We have to help everyone to experience the beauty of being in the water as this is the first step toward swimming. The joy of free movements discovered in the water acts as the first principal area that help our kids to live a healthier life.
As a responsible coach and a devoted mother I WANT TO GIVE THE MOST TO ALL CHILDREN, I WANT THEM TO BE AND TO FEEL HEALTHY.
I’m very lucky, because I can do what I like most – being with children in the water.
